Kids Bingo Game Ideas: For Birthday, Travel Or Anytime!

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Not only do kids love playing bingo, but it’s a fun way to learn new things from math to grammar, even foreign languages.  Having a few sets of kids bingo games around means they can be engaged in this fun, interesting activity with minimal cost or cleanup.  Birthday party bingo is huge at kids parties, but we think these kids bingo games are fun any time.  Here are a few we like:

Aloha Bingo Game

Aloha Bingo Game features a list of Hawaiian words to call from, and 8 bingo game boards.  Marker pieces with a hibiscus design cover the squares.  Not only is this an interesting way to learn about Hawaiian culture, but the set itself is fun and festive with beautiful colors you’ll love to look at.

Pokemon Bingo

Another fun kids bingo game is Pokemon Bingo. This set includes 16 cards as well as a call sheet and pokemon character markers.  These high-quality cards includes all of the major Pokemon characters

Bingo Lesson Plan Ice Breakers For Kids

Friday, October 9th, 2009

For educators who want to introduce bingo into their classroom activities, this site has a couple of great ideas.   One game involves the teacher making up cards with a fact about each student in a box.  For example “has two pets” or “speaks two languages.”  The kids proceed to ask eachother if squares refer to them and get their signatures in order to win bingo.

Another bingo game:

“Pass out BINGO cards to students. Each square on this card contains a question. (Click here for a sample card created by teacher Peg Teeter.) Have each student fill in the answers for ALL questions beside number 1. Wait for all students to finish. Then students find classmates with the same answers written in each box. The classmate with a matching answer prints his or her initials on line 2. Give a prize to any or all who get a BINGO!”
