Print Bingo Cards

Not only do kids love playing bingo, but it’s a fun way to learn new things from math to grammar, even foreign languages.  Having a few sets of kids bingo games around means they can be engaged in this fun, interesting activity with minimal cost or cleanup.  Birthday party bingo is huge at kids parties, but we think these kids bingo games are fun any time.  Here are a few we like:

A very cute concept for a bingo card!  TV By the Numbers is designing a bingo card with each space containing a fan excuse for why a sitcom was taken off the air.   Some examples:  “It wasn’t promoted enough.” Or, “It needs time to grow.”

Given the number of meetings I sit through, I could easily make a career out of buzzword bingo.  If you’re new to buzzword bingo, here’s an overview:

“Buzzword bingo is generally played in situations where audience members feel that the speaker is just spouting off a bunch of buzzwords rather than providing information or ideas of actual value, and to mask over a lack of actual knowledge. Business meetings led by guest speakers or notable company personalities from higher up the pay scale are often viewed as a good opportunities, as the language used by these speakers often includes predictable references to arcane business concepts, which are perfect for use in the creation of buzzword bingo cards.”

Great for families, Parents magazine has a variety of bingo card games for groups of four.  To name a few, they have car bingo, supermarket bingo and doctor’s office bingo designed to keep kids engaged while running errands.  The article provides instructions on how to customize bingo games for younger and older children.
