Bingo Lesson Plan Ice Breakers For Kids

Friday, October 9th, 2009

For educators who want to introduce bingo into their classroom activities, this site has a couple of great ideas.   One game involves the teacher making up cards with a fact about each student in a box.  For example “has two pets” or “speaks two languages.”  The kids proceed to ask eachother if squares refer to them and get their signatures in order to win bingo.

Another bingo game:

“Pass out BINGO cards to students. Each square on this card contains a question. (Click here for a sample card created by teacher Peg Teeter.) Have each student fill in the answers for ALL questions beside number 1. Wait for all students to finish. Then students find classmates with the same answers written in each box. The classmate with a matching answer prints his or her initials on line 2. Give a prize to any or all who get a BINGO!”
